Because of the technology advancement, now there are extensive navigation and radio equipments available on board ships. Below is the list of some of them found on the typical vessel:

Navigation Equipment:
Magnetic Compass, GPS Navigator, Radar with Arpa, S-Band, Radar with Arpa, X-Band, Doppler Speed Log, Auto Pilot 1 Gyro Compass, Weather Facsimile, ECHO Sounder, Anemometer, Rudder Angle Indicator, Whistle System, ZET-horn type 131 C, Navtex Receiver

Radio Equipment:
GMDSS Radio Equipment, VHF Radio Telephone, Two Way VHF Transceiver, EPIRB, Inmarsat-B, Inmarsat-C, UHF Transeiver, Radar Transponder
