Well there are various countries who impose very strict regulations for house keeping... If you take US, then the PSC inspectors are so strict about cleanliness, that they don't accept a single cockroach in kitchen... 

I very well remember, we once had a rigorous pest control done on ship before entering Long beach... Have you also experienced any such incidences anywhere???
