How does marine person cope up for family as they are away from family for more than 6months in an year?

my partner is on 4 months 2 off. yes its had but we make the time he has at home special. we dont repent the life or other couples with partners home. when he is away we support him how ever we can. phone calls, emails and letters. his first few days at home are alittle tense. he is very tired but after a good nights sleep everything is back to normal.

I know I'm pretty late with my contribution to this post, but I felt like I just had to say something. I'm really glad for your husband, Nicky. Ever starting my marine studies I'm always wondered if I'll ever have a loving relationship with anyone again. My girlfriend broke up with me for the mere fact that I was going away to college and I haven't dated since so you can imagine the kind of gloom that I've lived under.

Still, seeing that there are women understanding and loving enough to loves us poor merchant mariners, it gives me hope for my own future :) Thank you for loving your husband(I know that's kind of a weird thing to say :D).
