With all the time changing country rules and morre responsibilities on captain and chief engg's heads, I am getting confused whether it is good to be the senior most of is it a trouble.

Master and chief engineers are being held responsible for the mistakes they never have done!! I mean how do you justify this? Can anybody explain to me if this is correct way to do it? And if this is right then how to make sure that as a senior you keep yourself safe? I have been master but the current senario looks preety bad I guess..

True..i agree completely with you as the Captain is the master and fortunately or unfortunately all the responsibilities lie with him. But try and look at the positive side of being in that position. after all not everyday is a bad day. you get a very hefty pay check, yr family can travel with you and so much of respect bestowed on you as you are the seniormost rank wise. Cheer up!!
